Presentation night + Summer hockey
The much anticipated End of Season event is finally announced!
The AFL might be reluctant to bring their big event into prime time, but social secretaries Alex Witte & Stu Allen have no such fear. So etch the evening of Friday 14th November into your calendar. The venue is the Melbourne Bowling Club, 138 Union St, Windsor. Bowls will kick off from 5:30 in the afternoon sun (knock off from work at a reasonable time for once). The BBQ will be fired up for dinner, and the Best and Fairest for each team, plus the good and evil twins of the Gold and Black cards will be awarded to the club champions.
So set aside the evening, and expect more details in the coming weeks.
Summer Hockey
After a downturn in the enjoyment provided at MHS over the past few years, we have decided to change venues for summer. This year we have one team entered at Hawthorn on Tuesday nights. We are still trying to secure a second team, but it isn’t looking promising. Having only one team might make it very congested at the start of the season, but at least we won’t have the annual struggle for numbers closer to Christmas!
First round of summer hockey is on Tuesday 28th October.
